Terms & Conditions for Car Rental – CRS Car Rental Services

1. What is included in the rental price

• All taxes included: 24% VAT, airport taxes, and local municipal taxes.

• Baby Seat / Booster: Available free of charge upon request (first unit).

• Scooter/Motorcycle Equipment: Helmets for driver and passenger, plus top case or elastic straps.

• Unlimited Mileage: No extra charge for kilometers driven on Paros.

• Local Map: Provided with travel tips for the island.

2. Deposit & Cancellation Policy

• Deposit Amount: A 20% deposit is required via online payment (Credit/Debit card) or bank transfer to confirm the booking.

• Remaining Balance: The outstanding amount is settled upon vehicle pickup via cash, card, or bank transfer.

• Full Refund Cancellation: Valid only if requested at least 14 days before the scheduled pickup date.

• Credit Voucher: If cancellation occurs between 7 and 14 days before pickup, the deposit is not refunded but a Credit Voucher valid for 18 months is issued.

• Forfeiture of Deposit: If the cancellation is made less than 7 days before pickup, the deposit is non-refundable and no voucher is issued.

3. Delayed Pickup & No-Show Policy

• Obligation to Notify: In case of any delay, the customer must inform CRS via Phone, WhatsApp, Viber, or Email.

• 3-Hour Rule (No Notification): If there is no communication and 3 hours pass from the scheduled pickup time, the reservation is automatically cancelled and the deposit is forfeited.

• Timely Notification: If the customer notifies us even 30 minutes before arrival, there is no extra charge or issue with the reservation.

• Late Arrival Fee: If the customer is late without notification but arrives within the 3-hour window, a €20 fee is applied due to rescheduling, double labor, and staff organization costs.

4. Driver Requirements & Necessary Documents

• Minimum Age Requirements: * 23 years old for categories A, B, C and mopeds.

  • 27 years old for all other car categories.

  • 24 years old for ATVs/Buggies.

  • 21 years old for Scooters.

• Maximum Age: 80 years old.

• Driving License: A valid license held for at least 1 year.

• International Drivers: Non-EU citizens (e.g., USA, Canada, Australia) must present an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with their original national driving license.

• Identification: A valid Passport or National ID card is required.

5. Insurance Policy & Exclusions

Insurance coverage applies only to conventional accidents as described in the Insurance Policy. No insurance covers damages resulting from:

• Off-road driving: Driving on unpaved roads, beaches, or dirt paths.

• Impaired driving: Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.

• Negligence: Reckless use of the vehicle or violation of the Greek Traffic Code.

• Undercarriage: Any damage to the bottom/underside of the vehicle is the renter's full responsibility.

7. Fuel Policy

Vehicles are provided with a specific fuel level and must be returned with the same amount. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the renter will be charged for the difference. Alternatively, you may opt for our "Full Tank Service" at the start of your rental for added convenience.

8. Extra Services

• GPS Navigation System: €4 per day

• Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot: €5 per day

9. Fines & Penalties

The renter is solely responsible for any traffic violations, speeding tickets, or parking fines incurred during the rental period in Paros and Antiparos.

10. Ferrying the Vehicle

Transporting the vehicle by ferry is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from our company. Please note that any damages sustained during sea transport are not covered by any insurance package.

11. Vehicle Group & Availability

CRS reserves the right to provide a different vehicle of an equal or superior category to the one booked, depending on current fleet availability.

12. Revision of Terms & Rates

Terms and prices are subject to change with a 7-day written notice, except in cases of legislative changes imposed by Greek or EU law.

13. Customer Complaints

Any issues or complaints must be submitted in writing. All claims must be reported to CRS no later than 30 days after the completion of the rental period.

Car Rental Terms & Conditions in Paros

Reservations & Availability 

All reservations are made based on vehicle category and not for a specific car model. In the event that the specific vehicle category you booked is unavailable upon your arrival, CRS Car Rental Paros reserves the right to upgrade you to a higher category at no extra cost.

Cancellation & Amendment Policy

• Free Cancellation: Any cancellation made up to 14 days before your arrival is fully refundable.

• Cancellations within 14 days: The 20% deposit is non-refundable; however, it can be issued as a credit voucher for a future booking, valid for 18 months.

• Date/Vehicle Changes: Amendments are permitted up to 48 hours before the rental, subject to availability and following communication with our team.

Core Rental Terms

Drivers & Age Limits

• Minimum Age: 23 years old for most vehicles & 32 years old for specific premium categories.

• Maximum Age: 80 years old.

Driving License

• Drivers must hold a valid driving license issued at least 1 year prior to the rental.

• Non-EU Drivers are required to present an International Driving Permit along with their original national license.

Fines & Penalties

The renter is solely responsible for any traffic violations, fines, or parking tickets issued during the rental period.

Payment & Guarantee

• Credit/Debit Card: A card is required as a rental guarantee, even if the final payment is settled in cash.

• After-Hours Service: A €20 surcharge applies for vehicle collection or return outside of official operating hours.

Additional Options

• Additional Drivers: Adding the first additional driver is completely free of charge.

• GPS Navigation: €5 per day (Max charge: €35 per rental).

• 4G Wi-Fi Mobile Internet: €5 per day (Data: 1GB per day).

• Child Seats: The first child seat is free. Extra seats cost €2 per day (Max charge: €20 per rental).

• Note: All extras are subject to availability and provided upon request.

Fuel Policy

Vehicles are delivered with a specific amount of fuel and must be returned with the same level.

• Fuel Shortage Fee: €15 for every 1/8 of the tank missing.

• No refunds are provided for returning the vehicle with more fuel than received.

Accident Procedure

In the event of an accident, the renter must notify the company and the Police immediately. An official police report is required. If the accident is caused by the renter's fault, an administration fee of €20 will be charged.

General Lease Terms – CRS Car Rental Paros

1. Agreement Conclusion With this agreement, CRS Car Rental Paros (hereinafter "CRS") leases to the renter the vehicle described in the contract, under the terms mentioned herein. The renter fully accepts and is bound by these terms.

2. Delivery & Return of Vehicle The renter receives the vehicle in excellent functional condition. They are obliged to return it in the same condition, along with all documents, tools, and equipment (spare tire, jack, first-aid kit, triangle, fire extinguisher).

• Late Returns: * After 60 minutes: Charge of 1/4 of the daily rate.

  • After 4 hours: Charge of 100% of the daily rate. CRS reserves the right to repossess the vehicle without notice if there is a risk of damage or loss.

3. Vehicle Use & Renter Obligations The renter must take good care of the vehicle and prevent theft or damage. Strictly prohibited uses include:

• Transporting heavy objects or more passengers than permitted.

• Sub-leasing or transferring the vehicle to third parties.

• Participating in races or driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.

4. Procedure in Case of Accident or Damage The renter must:

• Not admit fault or make private agreements with third parties.

• Call CRS immediately at +30 2284 300980 and the Police (100).

• Collect witness data, take photos, and submit a written report within 24 hours.

5. Driving Requirements by Vehicle Type

• Cars: 23+ years old.

• ATV / Buggy: 24+ years old.

• Scooters: 21+ years old.

• License: National license for EU citizens, International Permit for non-EU.

7. Maintenance & Damages

CRS provides regular and thorough maintenance for all vehicles.

• Repairs: Any repair or modification to the vehicle by the renter is strictly prohibited.

• Misuse: Damages resulting from misuse or maltreatment (such as destroyed tires or damage to the undercarriage/bottom of the car) are the exclusive responsibility of the renter and are not covered by any insurance.

8. Prohibitions & Restrictions

• Ferry Transport: It is strictly forbidden to transport the vehicle by ship/ferry without prior written approval from CRS.

• Prohibited Cargo: The use of the vehicle for transporting flammable materials, narcotics, or any illegal items is strictly prohibited.

• Off-Roading: Driving on non-asphalted roads (dirt roads, beaches, trails) is strictly prohibited.

9. Loss of Personal Property

CRS Car Rental Paros bears no responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal items left inside the rental vehicle.

10. Acceptance of Terms & Data Privacy

• Data Processing: The renter consents to the collection and recording of their personal data for the purposes of the rental agreement.

• Terms Violation: In the event of a violation of these terms, CRS reserves the right to notify the relevant authorities.

• Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed inside the vehicles unless a specific written permit has been issued for service animals (guide dogs).

VEHICLE RENTAL INSURANCE – CRS Car Rental Paros

Price Transparency & Booking Guarantee

Our insurance packages are always clear and transparent. Due to constant changes in insurance market rates, we provide full protection of your agreed price:

• Rate Lock: The prices and excess amounts (deductibles) shown at the time of your booking (Online or On Request) are final and guaranteed.

• Booking Confirmation: Your rental voucher will clearly state your agreement, e.g., <Rental Price: €20 | Intermediate Insurance: €6 | Excess: €400>.

• No Hidden Changes: Even if insurance rates increase later in the year, your original agreed price remains 100% unchanged. This ensures that a booking made in January for September is fully protected.

• Annual Rate Adjustment: Please note that insurance rates are calculated on a per-calendar-year basis. Prices for 2025 may differ from 2026. This is particularly important for customers using a Credit Voucher from a previous year; the new booking will be subject to the current year's seasonal rates and availability.

CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)

The renter is covered for damages to the vehicle as follows:

• Excess €650 + VAT for vehicle categories A, B, C.

• Excess €800 + VAT for vehicle categories D, E, F.

• Excess €950 + VAT for SUV & 7-SEATER categories.

• Requirement: Driving must comply with the Greek Traffic Code.

• Exclusions: Does not cover tires, undercarriage, interior damage, or loss of personal items.

• Accident Administration Fee: €20 (fixed charge).

ECDW (Extra Collision Damage Waiver)

The renter is covered for damages to the vehicle as follows:

• Excess €400 + VAT for vehicle categories A, B, C.

• Excess €500 + VAT for vehicle categories D, E, F.

• Excess €650 + VAT for SUV & 7-SEATER categories.

• Requirement: Driving must comply with the Greek Traffic Code.

• Exclusions: Does not cover tires, undercarriage, interior damage, or loss of personal items.

• Accident Administration Fee: €20 (fixed charge).

SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver)

The renter is covered for damages to the vehicle as follows:

• Excess €250 + VAT for categories A, B, C (€33 per day).

• Excess €350 + VAT for categories D, E, F (€46 per day).

• Requirement: Driving must comply with the Greek Traffic Code.

• Exclusions: Does not cover tires, undercarriage, interior damage, or loss of personal items.

• Accident Administration Fee: €20 (fixed charge).

INSURANCE DOES NOT INCLUDE

• Damage to the interior of the vehicle.

• Traffic fines and violations of the Greek Traffic Code.

• Mechanical failures caused by renter error/negligence.

• Damage to the undercarriage (bottom) of the vehicle.

• Damages from illegal use or use not complying with the terms of the lease.

• Damage from driving on dirt roads, beaches, forest areas, or other non-asphalt roads.

• Damages caused by a driver not listed on the contract or a driver under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• Accident file administration cost (€20 fixed fee).

Compensation for Negligence / Wear / Destruction / Loss

The following minimum charges apply for damages or loss of equipment:

• Vehicle Key: Simple €120 | Remote €220 | Motorcycle €65.

• Baby Seat: €90 | Booster Seat: €50.

• Battery: €130 | Antenna: €25.

• Alloy Wheel: €130 | Steel Wheel: €80 | Hubcaps: €30.

• Mirror Glass only: €25 | Mirror Mechanism & Frame: €90.

• Car Floor Mats: €30.

• Stained Seats/Interior (Special Cleaning): €150.

• Windshield Wipers: €10.

• Convertible Soft Top: €450.

• Wi-Fi Device: €100 | GPS Device: €100.

Other Terms

• Rental Limit: Bookings exceeding 100 days are not possible via the website.

• Ownership: All vehicles remain the property of C.R.S Car Rental Paros.

• Liability: Additional drivers listed in the contract are equally and jointly responsible with the primary renter.

• Modifications: Any changes to these terms are invalid unless confirmed in writing.

• Charges: All fees (guarantees, damages, extra services) may be charged to the renter's credit card.

• Jurisdiction: In case of any dispute, Greek Legislation applies and the Courts of Greece are the sole competent authorities.
