Insurance Policy & Car Rental Coverages in Paros | CRS Car Rental 

Basic Insurance (Third Party Liability) 

Third Party Liability Insurance is included in all rentals and is mandatory by Greek law. It covers:

• Third-party bodily injury

• Third-party property damage 

This coverage is included in the rental price and applies according to the terms of the insurance contract.

Πακέτα Μικτής Ασφάλισης (Collision Damage Waiver – CDW) 

Medium Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

• Cost: €8 / day

• Excess (Deductible): € 950 CDW reduces the renter's financial responsibility in the event of damage to the rental vehicle to a maximum of € 950, provided that all terms of the rental agreement are met.

Full Damage Waiver (FDW)

• Cost: €12 / day

• Excess (Deductible): €600 FDW further reduces the renter's financial responsibility to a maximum of €600, provided that all terms of the contract are followed.

Exclusions (Not covered by CDW/FDW):

• Negligence or reckless driving

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

• Off-road driving (unpaved roads)

• Damage to the underside of the vehicle

Additional Insurance Coverages

Fire Insurance 

✔ Included in the rental price Covers the vehicle in case of fire, unless the damage is caused by vandalism or malicious intent.

Theft Insurance 

✔ Included in the rental price Covers only the total theft of the vehicle. Partial theft (e.g., stolen personal items or vehicle parts) is not covered. In case of theft, the renter must:

• Immediately notify CRS Car Rental Services

• File a report with the local Police

Glass Protection (Winchield & Windows)

• Cost: €3 / day Covers damage to:

• Windshield

• Windows ❌ Damage from vandalism or malicious acts is not covered.

Core Rental Policies

Fuel Policy Vehicles are delivered with a specific fuel level and must be returned at the same level. An optional "Full Tank Option" is available upon request.

Accident Policy In the event of an accident, the customer is required to:

• Immediately notify CRS Car Rental Services

• Do not move the vehicle (if safe and possible)

• Collect photos and contact details of involved parties

• Cooperate with the relevant authorities as required

Insurance Limitations & Exclusions

Insurance DOES NOT cover damage caused by:

• Off-road driving (e.g., unpaved paths leading to remote beaches)

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

• Damage to the undercarriage (bottom) of the car

• Negligence or misuse of the vehicle

Accident Procedure & Renter Obligations In any case of accident or damage, regardless of fault, the renter is obliged to notify CRS Car Rental Services immediately. This ensures that the accident care procedure is activated and the incident is recorded by the insurance company. In case of damage to a parked vehicle, a report must be made before moving the car. Failure to inform the company in a timely manner or failure to follow instructions may lead to the loss or limitation of insurance coverage, as per the terms of the insurance policy.
